Cameron Diaz & Jude Law - The HolidayThe Holiday, starring Cameron Diaz & Jude Law is scheduled to come out in February. The romantic comedy was filmed in Godalming, in the county of Surrey, UK. Turns out that Godalming is a pretty green city.

The Telegraph tells us:

It’s also a conservation hotspot. Green issues seem to be a major concern to just about everyone in the town, from the Godalming Trust conservation group to the local MP. Even Godalming Museum has been doing its bit.

The town was one of the first in the UK to get electric street lighting, in 1881, powered by water from the River Wey. To mark the 125th anniversary of this momentous event and to encourage a cut in carbon-dioxide emissions, the museum has invited local people to design a new power-generating water turbine.

This eco-friendly attitude helps maintain the area’s popularity and filters down into the property market. A 1980s townhouse with rooftop solar panels to assist its hot-water supply is on the books of agents Emery & Orchard, at a guide price of £325,000.
