leo.jpgIt’s amazing to me how many celebrities participate in commercial promotions overseas. The Japanese market is especially saturated with everyone from George Clooney to Bruce Willis participating in some of the most bizarre ads. In fact, the only U.S. commercial I can remember that recently featured a well-known celebrity was the Brad Pitt Heineken ad that ran during the SuperBowl. Anyways, as the title suggests, it’s nice to see some ads that focus on the environment–even if it has to do with the Toyota Prius (overhyped hybrid but promising green symbol of change?). Leonrado DiCaprio, a well-known environmentalist activist, recently shot a commercial for Toyota down in Japan. It’s a nicely done and isn’t overloaded with special effects or fancy ads. Just a beach, Leo, and some penguins. Can we please get some of these commercials state side? Check it out below!
