Ashton Kutcher's MySpace photoThat’s right, folks! Ashton Kutcher is going to donate $50,000 to Habitat for Humanity to help rebuild the Gulf region. The $50,000 represents $1 for each person that joins his MySpace friends list. He wants to make sure that readers know this is the only site with this kind of promo. From his blog:

just so you all know this is the only sight I’m involved with. I don’t want anyone to get scammed by some other sucker that preys on peoples generosity. I have compassion for there loneliness but don’t want people to be fooled where there is charity involved.

Ashton, if you happen to read this, I hope they are the “green” houses, not some toxic home made out of PVC.

He’s also using the site to promote his new film, The Guardian. So join his friends list. As of this moment, he still needs 25,500 more to get to 50,000.

If you’re mourning Sudan the rhino, go vegan

The world needs more vegans because more than dollars or pledges or sad-emoji riddled posts, our individual efforts can stop the demand for horns, for zoos, for animal flesh, and for the exploitation of any living being.

Criticize veganism, but don’t discredit it

Oppressive and harmful behaviour has no place in a movement rooted in anti-oppression.
