Fatboy Slim with Coaching for HopeOkay, first of all, I apparently had no idea what DJ Fatboy Slim looked like. Interesting. Okay, moving on. The man who’s real name is Norman Cook headed out to West Africa earlier this month as part of Coaching for Hope, an organization that uses soccer to empower children who are ‘AIDS orphans’. While he was in Mali, he visited the second Coaching for Hope school, participated in soccer and art workshops, and visited a partner orphanage.  

Says Fatboy Slim of his experience, “Coming here has been a life-changing experience. To see so many young children with no parents is something I will never forget. It makes you realise how we take what we’ve got for granted.”
