Rock for DarfurMySpace is sponsoring at least 20 concerts on October 21, 2006 across the country called Rock for Darfur. On the site they have information on the situation in Darfur, a clip from George Clooney’s trip, and a preview of the upcoming documentary, The Devil Came on Horseback (watch the preview…shocking).

A portion of the proceeds of the concerts will go to benefit Oxfam’s Sudan Crisis Relief & Rehabilitation Fund. Musicians playing these concerts include: Alice in Chains, Ziggy Marley, Jars of Clay and (+44).

According to Playfuls.com, MySpace also plans to sponsor Public Service Announcements in movie theaters this month, featuring Samuel L. Jackson.

If you’re mourning Sudan the rhino, go vegan

The world needs more vegans because more than dollars or pledges or sad-emoji riddled posts, our individual efforts can stop the demand for horns, for zoos, for animal flesh, and for the exploitation of any living being.

Criticize veganism, but don’t discredit it

Oppressive and harmful behaviour has no place in a movement rooted in anti-oppression.
