lng.jpgAs we covered earlier, various celebrities are fighting the installation of a Liquified Natural Gas Facility off the coast of Malibu. While some are simply fighting with their signatures, Pierce Brosnan’s organization, The Brosnan Trust, is laying down the law and taking the fire to the mining company, BHP Bilton. This Sunday, from 9am-1pm at Malibu Surfrider Beach, Pierce and Laird Hamilton will be hosting the ‘NO LNG’ fundraiser. There’s a gourmet pancake breakfast, sandcastle building contests, and then at 11am, over 100 surfers will be taking to the water to paddle out in protest. Ironically, BHP Bilton will be releasing back into the wild 100 Great White Sharks kept in captivity for three years with very little food about an hour ahead of the event. Hmm.

To find out more regarding why the residents of Malibu are so ticked off at this installation (and for the record, a floating liquid natural gas facility the size of three football fields is never a good thing) check out Pierce’s site. You can grab the event poster details here.

Don’t blame vegans for the shame you feel about using animals

The shame Carly Lewis claims veganism casts over her is more likely the ghosts of moral uncertainty, spectres that are more likely fish than cows, wondering how morality can possibly be used as ammunition in favour of murder.
