Michael let you know about the protest for the LNG terminal this weekend, hosted by Pierce Brosnan. Now I’d like to tell you how it all turned out. It was a star-studded affair, that was kicked off by a gourmet pancake breakfast. Pierce, of course, showed up, as did his Die Another Day Bond girl Halle Berry. She told the press, “We have to use our voices and band together and stop this.”

Others in attendance included Cindy Crawford, Jane Seymour, Dick Van Dyke and Tea Leoni. Surfing legend Laird Hamilton and eco-actress Daryl Hannah paddled out on their boards with hundreds of others to form a circle with a diagonal line through it to protest the proposed terminal.

Says Susan Jordan, director of the California Coastal Protection Network, “The goal was to send the governor a message: to terminate the terminal. His is the last voice that actually stops this terminal from being approved.”

Finally, we’ll sum it up with a quote from our favorite bartender, Ted Danson, “We invented smog. For us to be increasing that is insane.”
