clooney.jpgGeorge Clooney and his father Nick have taken their activism to a new level by actually visiting the countries of Sudan and Chad. These nations are embroiled in conflict that has led to the displacement of more than 2.5 million people and countless deaths. Clooney’s campaign is part of his support of Rock For Darfur — an organization bringing awareness to the situation and helping the people affected.

In a country where more time is spent trying to define marriage or “staying the course” it’s encouraging to see others pushing forward the American spirit and shining the spotlight on this issue. Nick and George Clooney produced this short video and interview people directly involved in the crisis. Check it out to gain some perspective and learn more about what these displaced peoples are going through.
