snipshot_13nsf8tpnp.jpgThrough the convoluted mess that is their press release, I managed to pull out the sentence, “with proceeds benefiting Habitat for Humanity.” After that, it’s a mix of Fox television shows and the event being sponsored by the Swiffer Carpet flick — an environmentally-disabled product that encourages people to throw away cartridges and then buy new ones. Vacuum, anyone?

Still Swiffer & FOX must be commended for giving money to charity with their “Flick The Wheel” Wheel of Fortune type contest for celebrity guests. Rachel Bilson, Adam Brody, Mischa Barton, and Pam Anderson were some of the other celebs that also participated.

Most All of the celebrities at this event were most likely there because, well, they had to be. I’m willing to bet that no one saw the Habitat For Humanity charity and said, “Wow, I need to be there to support them.” So, frankly, we’re not expecting the cast of The OC to start building homes around LA anytime soon.
