We’ve told you about Summer Rayne Oakes before – our favorite eco-model. In fact, it’s probably one of the posts that has generated the most conversation around here. She does a piece for lucire magazine every month called Behind the Label. This time she had a video crew with her so we could see how it all comes together.

Summer and Storm – what a team! I’ve worked with them both: I did a photo shoot with Storm and a runway show with Summer; both are a joy to work with. I never had a chance to work with Joshua while I lived in NYC, but I have heard a lot of great things.
The only thing that sucks is there are other models out there with an eco-mindset, but none of us get as much attention as Summer; still, she deserves it.
Big Summer fan here as well. Being a conservation biologist here and all I’m pretty psyched that an entomologist can moonlight as a model. As far as other models, I can guarantee you that SSF would love to hear more form you guys. Perhaps an article in the next SASS Magazine or do some blogging.
