[...] Back in November of 2006, Harrelson completed a 38-day green-juice fast. He wanted to make it to 40 days, but some friends ruined the chance with some homemade cooking and he succumbed. During that time, however, Woody said that his “electromagnetic field expanded” and he received a “real charge” from the experience. [...]

Woody,

Wanted to hear more about your 38 day fast in HI. I am a 43 yr old conservative (mostly republican but independant) who is trying to figure out his life by reducing my consumerism and not working for the man (rather for a notable cause). I keep running into people just like me but they don't know how to get our of the rat race (I almost think that we need to create a complete new real estate development just for young boomers in this situation). Interesting. I constantly am told that I resemble you but can't see it as I am much better looking!

Enjoyed your site--great inspiration for folks in my situation trying to figure it all out. Working on a book, "The 8th Deadly Sin, Complacency" and would love to get your comments if you see fit. I would be happy to include some "Voice Yourself" tidbits.

Thanks

[...] What’s one of his favorite organizations? The Humane Society. Why’s that? “They’re so powerful, and they have such a strong legislative component as well. If you look at the history of civil rights and animal rights and equal rights — I mean obviously it’s great if you can change people’s minds — but you can accomplish so much with legislation,” he said. It seems that Moby and Woody Harrelson have both come to realize the same thing. You can’t force your opinions on someone…sometimes you can make the biggest difference simply through your actions, not your voice. (This is a tidbit from the Woody interview that I previously did not mention.) Said Moby on this topic, “So now, I’m still just as committed to trying to make the world a better place — I just don’t necessarily want to scream at people in the process.” [...]
