Lara DuttaFormer Miss Universe and famous Bollywood actress Lara Dutta has worked “quietly” with AIDS in the past. Today, she comments on World AIDS Day.

“AIDS is the most serious issue the world faces today. We need to address it more seriously; even those who are involved in this cause are limited in what they are capable of doing.”

She goes on to add , “India could be a super power in a couple of years, but if the country doesn’t take health care seriously, nothing can be achieved. Our young are the future. Not only do they need to be protected, but they also need to be equipped with proper information about this deadly disease. A healthy population leads to a healthy nation.”

I’m glad to see on World AIDS Day that the issue really is being covered all over the world.
