edlogo1.jpgIt’s one thing to have a cool green website about your latest reality TV show, but Ed Begley Jr. and Rachelle Carson are taking their new TV project, ‘Living With Ed’ to a new level by allowing YOU to ask THEM questions. Want to ask Ed something about Food, Energy, or Clothing? Go ahead and fill out the question box. Curious to know what Rachelle thinks about Fashion, Hair and Skin Care, or Diet, hit her up! This online aspect is simply another great effort by the Begleys to inform and entertain on green issues.

Of course, it doesn’t stop there. Click on ‘The Production‘ graphic, and you’re treated to a detailed behind-the-scenes looks at sustainable filming. Seriously, this single page of information could serve as an excellent model for the rest of the industry. Here’s a small excerpt from the filming crew’s perspective:

“The first thing we all thought of was recycling. We ordered a new recycling bin at our edoncamera.jpgproduction offices. Once we told everyone on staff that we had a new recycling pickup, the results were astounding. The bin filled up with cardboard boxes and paper in less then a day. We then had to call the city of Burbank and jump through hoops to get a huge recycling dumpster.

We were all embarrassed that we hadn’t done something like this before. We went through tons of paper, cans of soda and cardboard boxes everyday for the last few years and never recycled one piece. That’s sad, but look at Ed saving people one office at a time.”

Pretty cool. So head on over, take a look at the summaries for some upcoming episodes, some tips on environmentally friendly gardening, and be sure to catch the show in early January on HGTV! Also, don’t forget to read Ecorazzi’s interview with Ed Begley Jr. and Rachelle Carson on their new show, green celebrities, and everything in between!
