logo.jpgAt first I thought WWF meant World Wrestling Federation, but was quickly dashed of all creative imagery in my head after learning it means World Wildlife Fund. Oh well. I still reserve hope that the World Wrestling Federation will one day embrace sustainable style. Till then, we have this lovely event!

WWF-Canada and the Green Carpet Series will be hosting an eco-fashion show featuring some of Canada’s hottest celebrities: Kim D’Eon, Melanie Doane, Wendy Mesley, Sarah Richardson, Sarah Slean (I’ve never heard of them either!). The event will be emceed by Gillian Deacon of The Gill Deacon Show and George Stroumboulopoulos of The Hour. Mr. Stroumboulopoulos currently has the honor of the greatest last name in the history of stardom here on Ecorazzi.

Sustainable clothing and accessories will be provided by Cotton Ginny, Frog Pond, Harvey’s Original Seatbelt Bag and many others. The show will hit January 30th and tickets cost $40 CA. Let us know if you plan on going! For more details, hit the Green Carpet Series website.

Trivia: Canadians take home 55 million plastic bags each week. Wow.
