Jackie Chan Launches New Environmental Program
Jackie Chan just launched the “Jackie Chan New Day Environmental Protection Program” last week in Beijing. To get the first funds for the program, an electric bike that Chan used in an ad was sold for over $12,000.
There’s not a lot more information on this right now…at least in English, but we look forward to tracking Chan’s progress on the program.
He’s been busy lately, saving the world from bad skin and Chris Tucker. He’s also got a matching program in place to help kids get an education. For every amount that people donate so that poor children may attend school, he will donate the same amount. From the article, “The program has reportedly benefited more than 12000 children all over the world, and he says that he hopes to soon build two Project Hope elementary schools in Inner Mongolia.”
