Jay on Living with EdSorry Ed, I didn’t catch your show until just the other day. But I’m here to say, that it’s pretty good. In last week’s Living with Ed, Ed Begley Jr. goes to visit Jay Leno‘s garage.

First of all, let me say that the more I learn about Leno, the more I like the guy. A car addict, this guy isn’t just in to fuel-burning speedsters. He’s got many, many cars, including some of the first electric and hydrogen and hybrid cars that ever existed. (Yes, a hybrid from 1916.) And that’s exactly what he showed Ed during his visit last week.

Jay also developed a super-fast, super-green car…to show that sleek, sexy, and green can all exist in harmony. He’s putting solar panels on the roof and plans to get the garage in shape to produce all of the power it needs to survive. Now we’re talking!

When Jay looked inside Ed’s EV (electric vehicle) as pictured above, he said something to the effect of, “It’s like pulling down the pants of a Ken doll…there’s nothing there!” Electric vehicles have fewer parts, and don’t get dirty under the hood like a regular car would.

Living with Ed is on HGTV, Sundays at 10pm. Episode summary.
