Lunafest LA

The Six Annual Film Festival Lunafest is coming to LA on February 7 to benefit the Children’s Health Environmental Coalition (CHEC). Lunafest is a festival of short films “by…for…about women.”

The event held in Hollywood will be hosted by Laura Dern, Amy Brenneman, and Brooke Shields. Tickets are available: $40 general admission & reception; $75 VIP admission & reception. And, of course, proceeds go to the CHEC. Buy your tickets here.

Don’t live in LA? Don’t worry! There are Lunafest festivals happening across the country on different dates. View the complete Lunafest calendar.

Why Vegetarianism Makes No Sense From A Moral Perspective

I don’t consider my years as a vegetarian as a stepping-stone or prerequisite to veganism

I hope I win the ‘Pig Farmers of Tomorrow’ contest I entered (I’m vegan)

I think I’ll likely have the most interest in pigs of anyone applying, anyway.

Hopefully Jon & Tracey Stewart use their new farm for vegan education

They’ve promised classes on caring for animals and sustainable agriculture, so vegan 101 would be a great place to start.
