The Ultimate Green Room Enjoys Junior Year At Sundance

The current article you are reading does not reflect the views of the current editors and contributors of the new Ecorazzi

sundance.jpgNot to be confused with Project Greenhouse (though it’s real funny to see two eco hotspots competing with each other), the Ultimate Green Room enjoyed veteran status at the Sundance Film Festival with its third year of sustainable goodness.

Benefiting The Creative Coalition,  whose mission is all about having a voice in the arts, the g-room appears to  have focused more on sustainable goods and services, and less on education and activism. The article says it all,

“Some of the highlights of the Ultimate Green Room included Organic Coffee Company, Wooly Lamb Organics baby line, Green makeovers with Glo Mineral Cosmetic and PureOlogy hair care.

The star studded guests, filmmakers as well as eco taste makers feasted on organic cuisine prepared daily by celebrity Chef Akasha Richmond.  Guest also enjoyed Luna Bars, Kashi Products, as well as refreshments by FIJI Water (ed; how is bottled water included in a ‘green’ room?), Organic Tea by Art of Tea, Steaz Organic Green Tea Soda and their brand new Organic Energy Drink”

Celebrities in attendance included Kristen Bell, William Baldwin, Timothy Hutton, Joe Pantoliano, Nick Nolte, Crispin Glover, Ed Begley Jr., Rachelle Carson, Efren Ramirez, Sharon Lawrence, Brian Tee, and John Paul DeJoria amongst others.  Apparently, they all walked away with an eco bag and more eco-swag.

I’m not sure what to make of these rooms. Were there opportunities to support additional causes related to the environment? Is it all about the swag?  Did Begley Jr. get on his bike and pedal for toast?

Verbally abusing your vegan friends isn’t edgy, it’s just being a bully

If you’re a vegan who has had to deal with this, and especially if you come from a background of being abused in other ways, you are absolutely not alone
