Mira NairMonsoon Wedding and Vanity Fair director Mira Nair has spoken out against the negative attitude of top Bollywood stars when it comes to HIV/AIDS awareness. She is slated to direct one of four short films aiming to spread awareness about the disease. These films are to be shown in theaters prior to the screening of Bollywood feature films. However, she hasn’t been able to get any top stars to sign on for the project. It’s unfortunate that a project that could really help educate people isn’t given attention by celebrities. After all, Bollywood stars are huge in India, and they’re just the people who can influence people to learn more about the disease.

Other directors who are part of the project are Santosh Sivan, Farhan Akthar, and Vishal Bhardwaj.
