I just spotted this ad tonight and what do you know, it’s actually on YouTube. Filipino actresses Angel Locsin, Jennylyn Mercado, Rio Locsin, and Tessie Tomas along with Philippine senator Manny Villar are appearing in an ad about violence against women. The ad is in Filipino and was produced in collaboration with local feminist group Gabriela.

Translation:
Love me not because I’m beautiful, or because I’m an actress, or because I make you laugh. Love me because I’m a woman–a mother, a wife, a daughter. Abusing women is against the law.

Manny Villar: They gave birth to us, take care of our families, and work hard to improve our lives.

The ad ends with Villar urging people to report any incidents of abuse.
