snipshot_b2112orf9rmc.jpgAl Gore appeared on stage with Queen Latifah at the 49th Annual Grammy Awards last night to announce the winner for Best Rock Album. One could poke fun at such an association, but in today’s world its Schwarzenegger in politics and Gore in entertainment. Try predicting that 10 years ago.

Anyways, Al’s appearance may simply be either a.) a reflection of his popularity and upcoming Oscar-lock with Best Documentary or b.) his impending announcement of a rock concert of epic proportions. We’re going with the latter as the world waits with bated breath concerning the details of this massive project.

Of course, rumors continue to swirl regarding the ‘Who’s Who’ on the playing list. So far, sites are listing U2 and Kylie Minogue as headliners, with Oasis, Robbie Williams, Coldplay, and a host of other major bands taking part. The Oasis inclusion amuses me in light of Noel Gallagher telling U2’s Bono to “shut the f**k up!” over the rocker’s continued humanitarian efforts. Is Noel having a change of heart? Will Gore wear something other than a suit? Is Richard Branson involved? Get ready to wave that lighter (or cell phone) and stay tuned for more details!
