A lot of celebrities recently have offered their voices to eco-documentaries. We’ve had Sean Astin talk about sea lions, Elijah Wood educate on penguins, and Joaquin Phoenix speak up against the cruel use of animals as food. Now, Matt Damon is joining the club by narrating a new series on PBS entitled, “Journey To Planet Earth“.

The programs “explore the fragile relationship between people and the world they inhabit. A common thread runs throughout all the programs — the necessity to achieve a balance between the needs of people and the needs of the environment. Loss of farmland to urban development, the pollution of the Earth’s rivers, inadequate housing and water resources for those living in the world’s mega-cities — these are just some of the topics covered in Journey to Planet Earth.”

You can visit the PBS website for more information; including air dates. Check out a film clip of Damon’s soothing voice in action below.

My Parents Forced Veganism on Me

If vegan parents don’t “force” their vegan values and beliefs on their children, society won’t hesitate to “force” standard American values instead.
