police-topper.jpgAfter 20 years of being apart, Sting, Andy Summers, and Stewart Copeland are now coming together as The Police in order to mount a massive reunion tour that begins in Vancouver on May 28. After the success of their performance at the 49th Grammys Awards, it seems that the group is now looking on to bigger and better things.

The tour, which will have dates at the Madison Square Gardens at New York City, Fenway Park in Boston, and the Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival outside Nashville, is already confirmed for the first 14 performances. The Police (ooooh, just being able to type that down sends shivers down my spine) will be touring around the United States and Europe, as well as performances in South America, Japan, Australia and New Zealand, and South Africa, according to Arthur Fogel, chairman of global music at Live Nation, and the brains behind the operation.

The ticket sales will go on to benefit Water Aid, a global charity organization geared towards providing safe water and effective sanitation to the world’s poverty-stricken countries.
