harryconnick.jpgXM Radio debuted a new XM’s Artist Confidential today featuring Harry Connick Jr. Each Artist Confidential episode features one artist, music performed in front of a live audience, and a Q&A session in which audience participants can ask the artist questions.

Tipster Karen was there and tells us that Connick Jr. spoke poignantly regarding Hurricane Katrina and what is happening now in New Orleans. He performed with a 15 piece orchestra to promote his newest release which includes a tribute to New Orleans.

A portion of the proceeds of both albums, Oh My Nola and Chanson du Vieux Carre will be donated to New Orleans Habitat Musicians’ Village. This organization that will provide a home for the artists and sounds that shape New Orleans, was created through the dreams of Harry Connick Jr. and Branford Marsalis.

Catch the encore airings of Harry on XM today at 4pm ET, Friday at 7pm ET on XM 70 or Sunday at 8am on XM 25 The Blend.
