md.jpgRemember that scene in Disclosure where Michael Douglas uses virtual reality to fight back against his hot and powerful sexual harasser played by Demi Moore? Well it seems Douglas has found an even more useful purpose for technology.

The actor is working with Global Nomads Group, a non-profit organization that uses interactive technology such as videoconferencing to link children across the world and foster learning about other cultures.

In the past, GNG has conducted programs that have brought Iraqi and American students together to discuss current issues and learn about each others’ cultures.

Given the seemingly never-ending battles in some parts of the world these days, it’s easy to see how a program like this that reaches and educates the leaders of tomorrow can help lead to real and positive change.
