Stars Roll Into Gala In Green Vehicles

Green cars made a splash at the recent Oscars, but that’s not the only awards night where we can see them. BMW stepped in at the Berlinale and provided stars with BMW Hydrogen 7 cars to take them to the Cinema For Peace gala. The car was launched just last year and has reportedly caught Madonna and Arnold Schwarzenegger’s attention.

It only makes sense that these cars are driving stars to a charity event. Cinema For Peace, also dubbed “the Oscars with brains” by Bob Geldof, works in cooperation with UNICEF and honors the socially responsible films of the year. This year’s gala was attended by the likes of Richard Gere, Antonio Banderas, Christopher Lee, and Susan Sarandon.

For the past four years, during the Berlin Film Festial, CINEMA FOR PEACE has invited members of the international film community to a gala night and to a selection of cinematic work in order to create a platform for peace and tolerance, while raising significant funds for its charity partners.

Ah, that’s more like it. It looks like eco-friendly vehicles are now the cars to look out for at these star-studded events. Now let’s wait and see if celebs will soon start carpooling to awards shows.
