Bono is kicking it up a notch. In his continued dedication to the cause, Bono will be taking his efforts to the next level. For now, think of his new title as Brand Manager: Africa, though others will refer to him as Guest Editor: Vanity Fair.
Get ready for red hot July, when theguy behind product (RED) will be launching the issue he was in charge of, suggesting that it be called Fair Vanity instead. Said Bono, “We need to get better at storytelling. Bill Gates tells me this all the time. We’ve got to get better at telling the success stories of Africa in addition to the horror stories. And this magazine tells great stories.”
This won’t be his first time running a publication. He’s stepped in over at the Independent and France’s Libération. He’s thinking big, too – he wants his issue of Vanity Fair to be the best selling issue ever.
So what happened to the idea of changing Vanity Fair to Fair Vanity? They are scheduled to do it immediately after the announcement of 2U.
