about.jpgYou may have noticed that we’ve started updating our sidebar. Specifically the first box, About Ecorazzi. Feel free to browse around and learn more about Ecorazzi, who’s writing the posts you’re reading (and watching!), press that has covered us (we’re international, baby!), open positions on the Ecorazzi team, and a new section: charities that deserve our attention.

I want to take a second to focus on two of those sections, the first being Open Positions. We are growing fast here, and we want and need more bloggers, reporters, photographers, and videographers around the country and the world. We are also looking for programmers & designers to help us fix Ecorazzi from the inside out. Currently we have team members located in Los Angeles, Miami, Ithaca (NY), New York, Toronto, and even in the Philippines and Singapore.

Summer Bowen & Fred SavageNo matter what city you are in, we could use you. However, we are especially looking for people in London, Paris, Vegas, DC, Chicago, Seattle, and can always use more people in California and New York. Team members often get to attend super-cool events and interview celebs directly. (That’s Ecorazzi Field Reporter Summer Bowen pictured with Fred Savage!) Oh, and did we mention that we’re working on getting Ecorazzi on TV? Read more details and then drop us a note that tells us a little more about you and what you’d like to do with Ecorazzi.

Secondly, we’ve got a new page dedicated to charities. It’s just a baby page right now, but help us grow it – recommend organizations that deserve all of our attention. If a celebrity is involved or started it, mention that to us, as well.

Stop calling vegan food “cruelty-free”

Many vegans proudly proclaim that their food is “cruelty-free” as though issues of justice and injustice begin and end with our use of nonhuman animals.

My Parents Forced Veganism on Me

If vegan parents don’t “force” their vegan values and beliefs on their children, society won’t hesitate to “force” standard American values instead.
