First, John Travolta donated $30,000 for tornado victims in Florida, now it’s an American Idol’s turn to help his community. Taylor Hicks is raising funds for the tornado victims in Enterprise, Alabama. He’ll be having two concerts this weekend, March 10 and 11, in his hometown of Birmingham. But instead of just being a big welcome-home event to the AI star, Taylor has joined forces with the American Red Cross to help raise funds during the concerts and let people know what they can do to help.

“This tragedy affected me very personally,” says Hicks. “I know Enterprise, and have friends from there. When I heard the news, I wanted to be able to do something concrete to help all of the folks affected by the tornado. And I wanted to do it sooner rather than later, as these people need our help now.”

If any Ecorazzi readers out there are attending the event, let us know how it goes!
