Genesis AwardsThe Humane Society’s Genesis Awards are coming up and you can attend! The event is like the Oscars for entertainment and news media showcasing animal protection issues. It will be held on Saturday, March 24 in Beverly Hills with celebs such as Sean Astin, Amy Smart, Alexandra Paul, Pauley Perrette, Bill Maher, and of course, Ed Begley Jr. and Rachelle Carson in attendance. A $300 ticket gets you in.

Nominees this year include Fast Food Nation, Charlotte’s Web, Happy Feet, an episode of the Simpsons (preview below), and even Naomi’s New Morning – a program by Lightworks Producing Group, the same folks that are working on getting the Ecorazzi.TV concept on the air.

If you can’t attend, don’t worry, it looks like the event will be taped and broadcast for later viewing.
