We haven’t heard much about Ashley Judd lately, but it turns out that she’s currently out and about in India to promote AIDS awareness. She’s been spending time with sex workers and really focusing on women’s rights and empowerment, which she believes will stop the spread of HIV/AIDS in the country.

The YouthAIDS ambassador will also be getting some help from former Miss Universe Sushmita Sen. The two will also be attending a charity dinner on the 17th. “”What makes Ashley’s trip to India so special is not only the fact that she cares so deeply for the AIDS cause. It is also because she is coming all the way to our country to raise funds for this cause. And as far as I’m concerned that’s enough reason for India to play host to Ashley,” Sushmita says about Ashley’s visit.

Ah yes, aside from Africa, AIDS awareness in India is yet another cause Hollywood is extremely keen on, and even Bollywood is getting more involved in the issue. Hopefully in time, AIDS won’t be such a taboo subject in India anymore.

My Parents Forced Veganism on Me

If vegan parents don’t “force” their vegan values and beliefs on their children, society won’t hesitate to “force” standard American values instead.
