Will Ferrell Building Eco-Friendly Home, Drives Electric Vehicle

will.jpgMost people I know are fans of Will Ferrell. From Anchorman to Bewitched Talladega Nights to Stranger Than Fiction, his characters are as lovable as they are humorous. The personal side of Ferrell is also a committed environmentalist and an active supporter of the National Resource Defense Council. Who could forget his gut-busting impersonation of George W. Bush on Global Warming during the television special Earth To America?

I was able to pull some small snippets of green info out of a recent Premiere interview with Ferrell. First off, the name of his street translates roughly to “a whale’s vagina”. Second, Ferrell appears to have a new all-electric car. It’s been known for awhile that he’s a big fan of the Prius, but the interviewer makes note of a new addition to his fleet,

“Even though his all-electric car trumps the visitor’s Prius as a symbol of carbon neutrality, he doesn’t fail to give it props.” What’s Will got?

Second, it appears that while Will’s current residence is beautiful, he’s looking forward to moving shortly to a new “single, eco-friendly house being built nearby.”

So, that’s all I got. The interview doesn’t reveal much more, but needless to say, we’ll be curious as to how green Ferrell’s new digs are. In the meantime, he’s just joined a short list of Hollywood celebrities driving all-electric vehicles. With the introduction of the Tesla Roadster later this year, we can expect that number to jump. Look for Will in the new movie, Blades of Glory, out soon!
