Bollywood actor Amitabh Bachchan really sounds like a very busy guy. Not only has he starred in countless films, he also supports a number of causes, among them HIV/AIDS awareness in India.

Now, he has also announced his support for the Global Cool campaign by launching the India International Film Awards (IIFA) Bond. He has this to say about the issue of global warming: “If we don’t take preventive measures against these emissions, we will all be doomed. For India it is all the more important to know about this because the common man in India earns his living from the earth. I, for one, have pledged to help save our earth from global warming and I have also made Jaya, Abhishek and Aishwarya take the same pledge. If we can make even little bit of difference, I am sure it will help everybody in the long run.” Yes, that was actress Aishwarya Rai he was talking about, who’s his future daughter-in-law, so that’s even more star power for Global Cool.

Bachchan also recently met Sienna Miller in London for a Global Cool event. Sienna’s really taking her duties as ambassador for the campaign very seriously now, and is also planning a visit to India to see for herself how global warming has affected the country. Speaking of Sienna, I personally love how she’s working for such a cause nowadays. Much better than constantly hearing about the latest party she went to or who her latest boyfriend is.

My Parents Forced Veganism on Me

If vegan parents don’t “force” their vegan values and beliefs on their children, society won’t hesitate to “force” standard American values instead.
