Because Live Earth is deemed to be too partisan for Washington D.C., will Al Gore need to find a new venue for the event? Reports say he’s planning to hold it in the Big Apple instead. Shea Stadium, Prospect Park, and Randalls Island are just some of the locations being considered.

Some people would probably think he shouldn’t have buckled under pressure, I’d have to say that’s pretty big of him to just choose to avoid further controversy and arguments and switch venues. If it’s really done well, the message can get across easily no matter where the event is being held.

Speaking of the concert, by the way, the latest artists confirmed to perform at Live Earth in London are Madonna, the Red Hot Chili Peppers, and James Blunt. The latter two are well-known for their work with the environment, but Madonna? Not exactly one of the greenest celebs ever, I believe.
