One more Sheryl Crow/Laurie David story. Then I’ll stop. Seriously.
According to a recent interview with Elle Magazine, Crow took time out of a hectic schedule last year to hug a tree. This moment, in which she was at one with the universe, apparently triggered the foundation for her current Global Warming awareness tour with Laurie David. From the interview,
“Crow, a self-confessed “woo-woo meditator,” tells Elle magazine, ‘I was in New York and a friend, a brilliant spiritual guy, said, ‘Well, if you can just sit down on the earth…’ and I was like, ‘I’m in New York.’ He said, ‘OK, go stand next to a tree.’ So my manager and I came out of a meeting and literally held onto a tree… I was like, ‘I have so many opportunities now; where can I be most effective?’”
Have you hugged a tree today?
