Earth Day is around the corner, and all of the big shows went green this week. That includes, of course, Live with Regis & Kelly. Donald Trump was guest hosting with Kelly Ripa today and apparently mentioned that Melania feeds little Barron organic baby food. Incidentally, Barron doesn’t have his own Wikipedia entry yet. Is it odd that I find that odd?

After seeing the show Marcia Cross called up Similac for several cases of Similac Organic for her twins Eden & Savannah, according to Similac’s PR rep.

The Donald & Kelly focused on organic food for today’s show, and even chatted it up with Earthbound Farm, who provides much of the “mass organic” food we see in the grocery store.

Organic formula screams of hipocracy. Formula is processed, packaged, shipped, wasted, creates plasic bottles, bags and nipples, and the list goes on. The environmentally friendly choice would be breastfeeding. Not only does it have zero net impact on the environment, it’s the best choice for a child’s future health, which reduces environmental impact as well. Breastmilk requires no processing, packaging or shipping. It uses no plastic bottles and creates no waste that sits in a landfill. It protects children (and mothers) from illness, obesity, diabetes and cancer.
