I'm really tired of the leftist elitists in Hollywood anyway and wish they wouldn't be paid
so much attention by the PRESS,who is equally
annoying.

Why don't these jerks either put-up or shut up
and if these "enemies within", don't cut it out -
Like to see them put all together on a boat without
being told what day it is or anything about the MAINLAND like they did for the "Man Without a Country",yes, because they are a bunch of Benedict
Arnold type TRAITORS-YES! THEY ARE TRAITORS TO OUR COUNTRY! SEE THE LIST ON HOW MANY OF THEM CONTRIBUTE
TO THE ENEMIES ABROAD -START W/SEAN PENN,THE TRAITOR!AND THE REST OF THE HOLLYWOOD CABAL!

As much as it pains me to say it, I also agree with Inhofe. All these celebrities and green activists talk a great talk, but they need to start walking the walk. I am trying to conserve as much as I can, as well as helping educate other people in the Chicago area through my website, AFreshSqueeze.com, but these celebrities are still using a lot of resources and energy. They should live more frugal lives, and even though they become 'carbon neutral' through other means than straight conservation (i.e. Carbon Credits), there are other direct ways to become more carbon conservative.

Living green isn't just the sexy, hot thing to do right now. It's a way to help preserve the world for future generations. Although it is good that these celebrities are making the public more aware of what's going on, they have to start living greener, if only to set good examples.

James Inhofe is EXACTLY RIGHT about one thing. Celebrities have every ability to put their money where there mouth is. I am a middle class parent with a two year old, and am really desperately concerned about climate change. I devote alot of my free time on advocacy on the issue and I have started to make alot of changes in my life. If I had the millions of dollars that many of these folks had, I would immediately put up solar panels, and use a good portion of the money towards the issue. Changing our culture and consumption habits to solve the climate crisis will not be easy, and it's incubent apon those who are blessed with money and power to walk the talk.

Although it was a typical tactic of the Right wing to discredit the issue of Climate Change by shooting the messenger when they revealed Al Gore's electric consumption, I was disillusioned that he had not installed top of the line conservation and renewable energy features to his house a long time ago. He has the means to make his house climate neutral without carbon credits. The issue is too damn important for any hint of hypocracy.

I think this is a great moment for our community to stand with each other and demand responsibility from our celebrity counterparts. We do not need any more reasons for the spin machine to turn. We need to stand firm and speak intellegently not throw around "tastless" jokes. I feel this is irresponsible and only makes it harder for us to have a true conversation and clouds over the problems. Sheryl, thanks for being an activist, but please, please, please think before you speak or blog. I have a hard time understanding why on earth you would make light of such a serious issue and can ony wonder what you thought you accomplish by making the statements you did. Please be more responsible in the future, we do not need more distractions!
