I just watched Matador last night, but I won’t hold it against Pierce Brosnan. Maybe I just didn’t get it. Anyway, I’m happy with him! We just found out that he has a nice little Earth Day post up on his website. He starts it all off with an update on all of the gazillion films he is working on, and then gives us 10 ways that he and his family are doing in their “quest to be environmentally conscience.”

Here is our summary:

  1. Eat/buy organic food
  2. Use eco-cleaning products & services
  3. Recycle
  4. Give back
  5. Plant an organic garden
  6. Compost
  7. Promote environmental curriculum in schools
  8. Offset your emissions
  9. Design an eco-friendly home
  10. Speak up

He finishes it all up telling us, “One person can and does make a difference. What kind of difference do you want to make?”

How many of Pierce’s 10 fit into your life? He’s doing quite a bit, and is really using his voice for good. (And it’s working.)

Thanks for the tip, Lorrie!

When we reject human injustice, nobody needs to go on a “journey” to get to that point. Where animals are concerned, we’re all too eager to pack the car, don the sunglasses and go for ride before we see the truth of what has been in front of us the entire time.

Vegan Advocacy Ideas For The Arts

Creative education, in the context of social justice, simply means creating a mental space, a field of consciousness, from which the person feels stimulated to engage or hear what you have to say.
