I think the Ministry of Defense would hate the whole population to know this as fur is really not popular at all. I think the Queen is from another time and doesn´t really care but Prince Charles, who claims to be so worried about the planet should be pressured to explain this mass slaughter of bears. With a little effort, a non-animal derived alternative could probably be find soon enough. The world just is not as it was or how she plans it to be. You can just picture the outrage on her face. Still, I think it's like recycling or turning offthe taps when you brush you teeth, it seems like a big deal the first time, but after a while that's just the way it is.
