I hate to be redundant, considering the bad– let’s face it, downright icky– press that our dear, Lindsay Lohan, is always facing, but the time has come to shed some light on her not-so-eco-friendly lifestyle.

1. She is said to drive (and repeatedly crash) her black turbocharged Mercedes—a car brand that is rated one of the worst overall fuel economy cars. I assume that when you crash a car, a lot of energy goes into the fixing of it too. Maybe her new boyfriend can buy her a bike for her upcoming birthday. At the very least, Lindsay Lohan on a bike in a short skirt would help perpetuate the paparazzi frenzy, which is always a plus.

2. Lindsay’s tan (which I assume to be fake considering the orange color) is probably created by a electronically-powered spray system like Mystic Tan. Considering how often she tans, this is another big waste of energy, especially since it turns out so splotchy. Not to mention the odor that it produces as the tan develops! There’s an “environmental” hazard right there!

3. Lindsay’s “extra curricular activities” are harming the environment. According to some sources: “Taking a drug is not simply a personal decision that affects one individual’s health. Drugs alter the ecosystem on which all living things depend. And, far from vanishing into the environment after use, these substances may travel full circle – into lakes and streams, and back into our bodies, via the water we drink and the food we eat.”

4. Her movies are flopping big time. All across the United States, empty non-biodegradable popcorn tubs, (wasted on terrible acting), are piling up in landfills, and the over-air conditioned theaters are just sitting there empty, cooling a room with no audience.

Though I am a huge fan of Ecorazzi, this type of post is both counter-productive and anger-based in a way does little to actually combat global warming. I urge you to check out the practices of Randy Hayes, founder of the Rainforest Action Network, and the man who created the movement around pressuring Big Business to go green.

We are at a crossroads here when it comes to preserving our planet, and if the ‘greenies’ are going to make major change, we are going to have to take the high road to get there.

    Always, allways.

Danielle, thanks for your comments. We try to walk a fine line of just enough snark over here to keep things fun. If we crossed the line this time, we do apologize. Keep the feedback comin’!
