snipshot_e41e7as8sef4.jpgIn an attempt to help speed along the environmental progress of the world, Mother Nature recently tried to “lose” Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie. She had plenty of help from the two stars of the reality show The Simple Life, but unfortunately, a well-placed cell phone signal thwarted her plans. Rats.

While on location shooting the latest season of the their television show, Richie and Paris wandered off into the California wilderness one night. Predictably, they quickly became lost, disoriented, and feared for their lives. This probably occurred all within a span of five minutes. From the article,

“Hilton recalls, ‘We had to call a rescue service; we finally found service in part of the mountains. They had a helicopter come and harness us up and we were flying through the air, through the mountains… It was so much fun.'”

What a great use of emergency resources. Next time Mama, just send a mountain lion.
