Famous Names Go Natural With 267 Infusions Alcohol

June 9th 2007

snipshot_e41gbtbkhfq3.jpgIn the quest to further differentiate themselves among a growing list of competitors, boutique liquor companies are taking “greener” steps to appeal to new markets. We mentioned Square One Organic Vodka here on the site before, and now have word that 267 Infusions is receiving a loyal following among bands and celebs. The company mixes spirits such as rum, vodka, and tequila with purely natural fruits and vegetables (infused, not flavored). What you see if what you get since each bottle contains the olives, chili peppers, oranges, lemons, or whatever other flavor you choose. The beautiful shape and presentation not only make it a stylish choice for discriminating spirit aficionados, but also serve well as a vase or other functional container when you’re finished. Screw recycling — reuse this bottle, baby!

Word passed along says that Dave Matthews (from Dave Matthews Band) enjoys the Cranberry Vodka Infusion and Mango Rum Infusion. Teri Hatcher is a mango lover as well, while Christina Aguilera made the entire brand her official drink at her 2006 Grammy Awards Party. Other fans include Jamie Foxx, Ludacris, and Kelly Clarkson, Jennifer Love Hewitt, and John Legend.

As I mentioned, the infusion of natural flavors from 267 is a great first step. We hope the entire brand eventually uses organic spirits as well. For more information, you can check out their website here.

  1. Hmmm..

I am a bit skeptical about all this. It is surprising that Paris Hilton did not get mentioned here. This vodka is made in China. How green is it to make vodka there and then use fuel to ship it across the ocean?

  2. I’d thought Jennifer Love Hewitt was alcohol free — but the article I found regarding that was from 2002 — see http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0001349/news. I wonder, then, if she decided to start drinking — and why?

  3. Regarding my comment, above: Here’s another attempt to give the right link. I think what happened is that this comment system, by including the period at the end, made an invalid link. Here it is again. I hope it works:

  4. I called the company and asked. Glad I did. They slowboat it from China. That’s cool.

  5. The base vodka is american, the rum is from barbados, and the tequila is from mexico. It is infused and bottled in china. The bottles are blown by hand too! Yummy stuff!
