<description>[anybody like to review this book?]

Dear Friends:

I have just succeeded in publishing a book entitled Who Is the Earth? How to See God in the Natural World. In it I do my best to say Who or What the natural world actually is, on the most fundamental level. It’s my belief that we need to go beyond the morality of how to care for the Earth to the metaphysics of what the Earth really is – because if we don’t know what something is, we won’t know how to care for it – right?

Who is the Earth? contains my own rendition of lore and doctrine drawn from Hinduism, Buddhism, Zoroastrianism, Taoism, Judaism, Christianity, Islam, Inuit Shamanism, the Lakota religion, the Hopi religion, Celtic Myth and Alchemy, and includes a few contemplative practices designed to heighten our sense of the inner dimension of earthly reality. The language starts out very simple, like a seed, and ends up (in Part II) a bit more complex and erudite, like a tree (are trees erudite?), embracing the symbolism of the Four Directions, the Four Seasons and the Four Ages….so as to answer as definitively as possible the question: What? – or Who? – is this reality that lies all around us, and inside us too, that we call the Earth.

Who Is the Earth? How to See God in the Natural World: Sophia Perennis, 2008; 144pp. $16.95 [£9.95]. Available through www.barnesandnoble.com , www.amazon.com , and www.amazon.co.uk (the cover’s prettier on barnesandnoble).

RESELLERS: This book is distributed through Ingram, Baker &amp; Taylor, Bertrams and Gardners; query jameswetmore@mac.com for further information.

Sincerely,
Charles Upton

<description>Nice site! Glad you picked up on our rally. Just to clarify: the Revolve Eco-Rally is not a race in terms of speed (although try telling that to the electric scooter boys). It&#039;s about &#039;rallying&#039; around a cause and mustering political will towards the goal of zero emissions motoring. If anything, the race is between the transport industry (and between governing bodies) to make the Hydrogen Highway a reality.
