I followed this article to its source completely forgetting that topless models in the UK are celebrated in newspapers and not necessarily considered “pornography” as in America. With this warning in mind, if your workplace or eyes cannot tolerate breasts, please just take my word for it.
Page 3 topless model (and celebrated green celebrity in the UK), Keeley Hazell is urging the London masses to turn off their lights in celebration of the one hour “Lights Out” campaign in the city. From the article,

“Keeley, 20, said: ‘If we work together we can massively reduce climate change. It takes very little effort to be green.’ The campaign is called Lights Out London — but Keeley, who sported a recycled necklace for our picture, said: ‘I hope all Sun readers join in.’ People are being asked to switch off their lights, appliances and gadgets from 9pm to 10pm tonight — the longest day of the year. It is hoped the stunt will save 750 megawatts of electricity — enough to run 3,000 TVs for a year.”

Buckingham Palace and all skyscrapers along the busy Canary Wharf will go dark tonight in celebration. Singer Sophie Ellis Bextor and actress Terri Hatcher are also supporting the event. Please visit the official site for more information.

Stop calling vegan food “cruelty-free”

Many vegans proudly proclaim that their food is “cruelty-free” as though issues of justice and injustice begin and end with our use of nonhuman animals.

My Parents Forced Veganism on Me

If vegan parents don’t “force” their vegan values and beliefs on their children, society won’t hesitate to “force” standard American values instead.
