Since Live Earth isn’t coming to Southeast Asian shores, Malaysia is staging an environmental concert of its own. July 7 is the date for Suria FM’s Green Every Day 2007 Concert and Malaysian and Indonesian musical artists like Dayang Nurfaizah, Ramli Sarip (in photo), and Malaysian band The Alleycats are coming together to perform and promote environmental awareness.

Doing their bit to create public awareness of environmental issue – this is the mission for artistes participating the SuriaFM Green Every Day 2007 Concert this Saturday.

Malaysian Idol and five-time Anugerah Industri Muzik (AIM) winner Jaclyn Victor said such events went a long away in making the public aware of environmental issues.

It’s not going to be a 24-hour event, however, but will take place from 4 PM to 12 midnight.

If you’re mourning Sudan the rhino, go vegan

The world needs more vegans because more than dollars or pledges or sad-emoji riddled posts, our individual efforts can stop the demand for horns, for zoos, for animal flesh, and for the exploitation of any living being.

Criticize veganism, but don’t discredit it

Oppressive and harmful behaviour has no place in a movement rooted in anti-oppression.
