timberlake.jpgHere’s a round up of some of the hottest Live Earth news that we’re tracking at this moment…

The Live Earth concert in Rio De Janeiro ain’t out of the woods yet. After fears erupted earlier this week that the concert would be scrapped due to safety concerns for the more than one million expected to attend, a judge ruled yesterday that the state police would be on hand to offer assistance. A public prosecutor, however, is fighting some last-minute battles to throw out the decision; arguing that safety can’t be guaranteed for an audience of 1 million on Copacabana beach. Organizers of the event are convinced the show will go on and believe that come tomorrow, “there will be no stopping it.” The show must go on?

Singer Justin Timberlake has been added to an already impressive lineup at London’s Wembley Stadium. According to reports, Timberlake and his producer Timbaland are expected to join Duran Duran on stage. A source told Britain’s The Sun newspaper: “Justin and Timberland have been rehearsing. They have something special up their sleeve for fans at Wembley.” Duran Duran and Justin Timberlake. Together at last.

Will Leonardo DiCaprio be making a surprise appearance at Live Earth New York tomorrow? Sources tell us that DiCaprio is planning on potentially joining Gore on stage for the event as soon as the former V.P. gets back from an appearance at the D.C. gig. With DiCaprio currently filming in New York City for the movie Revolutionary Road, we’re going to give this rumor a high-probability. After their popular appearance at the Oscars, a Gore/Leo sequel was only a matter of time. Watch for crowd dives from these two.
