[...] Joining musician James Blunt in cruising the streets with an all-electric Mini Cooper is Growing Pains star Alan Thicke. The Emmy and Golden Globe nominee is becoming the new spokesperson for Hybrid Technologies — a firm that develops and markets lithium-powered products worldwide. They’re also responsible for commercializing the process that guts the mini of its conventional engine in favor of the electric kind (which at last read, will set you back a cool $60K).
EVs are not clueless, just a little different. I drive a used EV conversion that I found on eBay for just $2000. Electricity to drive it costs just 1 cent per mile! My battery pack costs $800 and lasts 20,000 miles.

Add this up, and I'm driving around for just FIVE CENTS per mile. Compare this to an 18mpg car with gas at $3.60/gallon: 20 cents per mile. Driving my EV conversion is FOUR TIMES cheaper.

Join me! Drive an impossible car.

It's like "clueless celebrity disease" or something! Why do the oddball cars and very small time vehicle converter companies get so much fanfare? Do you really think that spending ungodly amounts of money to turn a Mini-Cooper into a battery EV is going to appeal to the masses?

PLEASE TELL ME YOU DON'T ACTUALLY BELIEVE THAT MOVIE "WHO KILLED THE ELECTRIC CAR?" AS FACT? IT WAS MEANT TO BE ENTERTAINING AND AUTOMOTIVE JOURNALISTS WHO LIVED THROUGH THE BATTERY EV HISTORY IN CALIFORNIA BEGINNING IN THE LATE 90'S, BASICALLY DEBUNKED IT. DON'T BELIEVE ALL OF IT!!!

Don't be a lemming, buy the Honda Civic GX instead:
