Love your site. Always nice to see celebs and the well-heeled do their part to better the world around them...but instead of the constant Hamptons parties and $1000 poker games settled around greening the world...why not band together a cadre of celebrity activists and have a clean the streets event in their own backyard? NYC is dirty...there is trash everywhere...it would be great for some boldfaced names to show regular folk that its ok, cool even, to pick-up trash and to not litter and to care about their own block. The sponsors (i.e. SilverJet) would come out for sure and maybe, just maybe it would spur some change. Raising money is great...but directly impacting the condition of a dirty street or mindset of a lazy New Yorker is even better. FYI: The sidewalk outside several Whole Foods after the "I'm not a plastic bag" fiasco was covered in litter...pathetic.
