11th Hour Screensaver Should Be A T-Shirt

Yes, I know I’m getting all wrapped up in 11th Hour mania. Would you rather I write something about Shia LaBeouf and Transformers? Ladies under 15, don’t answer.

Anyways, I’m really digging the 11th Hour media. As an environmentalist, you have to appreciate the fine graphic work that a studio can output to support a green film. How classic is the poster with the footprint on the earth? Not to mention the cool stencils and other groovy green logos one can get at the beautifully redesigned official website. And let’s not forget to mention the 11th Hour Action site. When was the last time a film promoted its cause on so many levels? Al Gore fans under 50, don’t answer.

One graphic I’m most impressed with is the screensaver. Unfortunately, while it does its job well, I wish the thing was a t-shirt. I dig all the quotes on the back made into a globe. Screensavers are cool and all — but really, this thing needs legs. Hey WB, let’s get these made! Anyways, the poster and “screenshot” of the screensaver are below. Why Vegetarianism Makes No Sense From A Moral Perspective

I don’t consider my years as a vegetarian as a stepping-stone or prerequisite to veganism

I hope I win the ‘Pig Farmers of Tomorrow’ contest I entered (I’m vegan)

I think I’ll likely have the most interest in pigs of anyone applying, anyway.

Hopefully Jon & Tracey Stewart use their new farm for vegan education

They’ve promised classes on caring for animals and sustainable agriculture, so vegan 101 would be a great place to start.
