The Green Picture: Sophia Bush Spends The Weekend Beach Cleaning

August 20th 2007

Actress Sophia Bush spent last weekend helping clean Wrightsville Beach in North Carolina as part of the Barefoot Wine Beach Rescue Project. Wine and beach cleaning? Count me in! Alcoholic cravings aside, Barefoot Wines and the Surfrider Foundation have banded together to “rescue, restore, and renew seven beaches across the U.S. in an effort keep America’s beaches beautiful and barefoot-friendly.” According to the site, each year 18,000 beaches across the country are closed or posted as unhealthy. Hit the official website for more on how you can help!
